Magenta launches charity partnership with Dementia Together Wirral
The employees of Magenta Living have selected Dementia Together Wirral as their new charity partner.
The partnership, launched this summer, will see local fundraising activities take place to support the charity’s work as well as volunteering opportunities for Magenta Living employees.
Dementia Together Wirral was formed in 2017 and their mission is to bring people affected by dementia together to enjoy friendship and community.
They host a variety of dementia-friendly events: memory cafés, music groups, walking groups, crafts, day trips and more.
Allan Grogan, the founder and Chair of Trustees, Sharon Bird, a trustee and volunteer Janet Ratcliffe came along to the Magenta Living office in Birkenhead to meet our team.
Ann Monk, Executive Director for Finance at Magenta Living, said:
“This is a really exciting new partnership and we are delighted to be supporting Dementia Together Wirral. We were keen to hear from our employees about who our new partner should be and it was clear from the feedback that this charity was close to their hearts.
“We’re looking forward to a successful partnership and hope to raise money through our fundraising events and also encourage our employees to use their free volunteering day to support this amazing local charity which provides a vital service to those living with dementia and their families.”
