Kelsey and Dean fall in love with their new Shared Ownership home at Bridge View
Magenta Living are delighted to welcome Kelsey and Dean to their new home at our latest development Bridge View, Runcorn.
Kelsey, who works at a local special education needs school and Dean, a construction researcher and a fond Liverpool fan, recently moved into their new home at Bridge View and are delighted to be new homeowners.
Whilst living with Dean’s family, Kelsey and Dean started saving for their first home together. They thought it would take them years to save up enough money to move out, until they came across the Shared Ownership scheme.
The scheme allows you to purchase a share of a new build home, usually between 25% and 75%, and pay subsidised rent on the remaining share. Buying a percentage of your property means a smaller deposit is needed and typically a lower mortgage. You can continue buying shares (staircasing) until you own 100% of the property.
Kelsey said “For us, going down the Shared Ownership route meant we could get onto the property ladder a lot easier and quicker than we initially thought. Without the scheme, we would still be living with family and struggling to get onto the property ladder.
I would highly recommend Shared Ownership to anyone, it was worth the wait for us. Shared Ownership allowed us to start living our independent life together and we’re over the moon with our new home, it’s beautiful. We can’t wait to make our memories here.”
