Procurement at Magenta Living

The majority of the money that Magenta Living spends is derived from public funds; Therefore, we have a duty to ensure that best value is delivered in line with public contract regulations. Our procurement team are responsible for delivering best practise procurement on the large variety of goods, works and services that Magenta require.
At the heart of all our procurement we will ensure that:
Magenta Living’s procurement opportunities are advertised in Contracts Finder; we use the e-sourcing platform ProContract which suppliers must be registered for in order to receive tender alerts, express interest and submit bids for tenders.
Annually Magenta Living spend in the region of £60 million to provide essential goods, services and works to our customers. The goods and services we buy are paid for by public funds, so we have a legal and moral duty to ensure that value for money is achieved. Value for money is a core principle of Magenta’s on our journey to 2030 as we seek to “make the most of our precious resources”.
To Magenta Living, value for money is about supporting affordable housing, customer wellbeing and investing in our communities to create homes full of love. The goods and services that we buy must meet the needs of all stakeholders and the communities we work in. On all awarded contracts it is essential that we extract maximum value from our expenditure and we will seek to achieve this through a variety of mechanisms:
Social value is at the heart of Magenta Living’s ethos; we believe in building communities and providing spaces for families to flourish by ‘Doing the Right Thing’.
As we move forward on our ‘Road to 2030’ we will continue to embed social value into our contracts, delivering added value to our customers by working closely with suppliers that share our vision. We see social value as being more than just a financial incentive and believe that it can be used effectively across all the contracts that we procure having a positive impact on our customers and the neighbourhoods they live in.
Magenta Living operates a No PO, No Pay policy. All invoices submitted to Magenta Living must contain a Purchase Order number – invoices submitted without the relevant PO number will be rejected and unpaid.
Magenta Living will endeavour in all circumstances to pay invoices in line with contract terms and conditions. Your Magenta Living contact will be able to provide further information for all awarded contracts.
