We are proud to support the National Housing Federation's #PlanForHousing campaign. With the General Election fast approaching, it’s vital that housing remains a priority on the political agenda to address and resolve the current housing crisis.
According to the National Housing Federation, currently, 8.5 million people in England are unable to access the housing they need. As a housing association, we provide good quality, affordable homes for those who need them the most, as well as providing vital support for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. But we want to do more, that’s why we are supporting the Nat Feds #PlanForHousing campaign.
The campaign aligns with our strategic plan. Our road to 2030 sets for our vision for ‘opening doors to homes filled with love, communities full of life and a world full of possibilities’. We will achieve this by building 1,000 new homes, delivering £30 million a year in social value activities and investing £166m in our existing homes.
As the largest registered provider in Wirral, we recognise the positive impact we can make when we work collaboratively with our partners, Local Authority and central government. By having a longer-term plan for housing, together we can improve affordability, cut waiting lists, reduce homelessness and ensure people have a place to live where they feel safe and happy.
