Magenta Living promotes career opportunities
Magenta Living’s Organisational Development team has a busy month ahead of them as they plan to attend a number of career events to highlight the opportunities in the housing sector to the young people of Wirral.
They’ll be attending the “What Next Skills Show” organised on behalf of Wirral Borough Council. They’ll be at The Hive in Birkenhead on 7 November, looking forward to meeting students from across Wirral, Year 10 and above.
Then on 16 November they’ll be at Ridgeway High School as part of the school's Futures Programme. The fair is aimed at providing information, advice and guidance to their Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils.
On 21 November, they will be visiting Weatherhead High School’s 'Understanding the World of Work' event for year 10 students where they’ll be running an activity which gives insight into the important skills needed to be successful.
This is all part of Magenta Living’s continuing programme of engaging with young people from our local schools and colleges to open their eyes to the exciting variety of careers available in the housing sector, including building maintenance and construction. They also talk through the process of how Magenta Living recruits for opportunities such as apprenticeships.
So, if you are planning on attending any of these events, come along and talk to the team and get your free goody bag!
More visits are planned in the New Year, so if you can’t attend any of the events this month, look out for other opportunities in the future.
